In this workshop, you will explore some of the possibilities for making math classes more interactive. Participants will see how various tools, including video presentations and publisher-provided materials, can liven up the classroom. Second Life is a virtual world on the Internet that is a medium for communication, socialization and creative expression. Second Life could represent the future of human interaction including effective learning communities. During this workshop we will discuss how to explore this diverse community which has over 80 islands dedicated to educational and academic use. Emphasis will be placed on resources for teaching and project ideas. The session will include a short demonstration of Second Life. Presentation
